Voice therapy - including gender affirming voice and communication care
Gender affirming voice and communication therapy for gender diverse folks and voice therapy services for people who use their voice in their work, passions or hobbies.

Step 1: Record your voice (reading a passage we provide) & email it to us.
Step 2: Fill out a short form on your goals & how you use your voice.
Step 3: We will return a tailored, short report within 4 weeks to you on your current voice use, with practical tips & recommendations.

5x 30 minute sessions rebatable under the Medicare Chronic Disease Management Care Plan via your GP (GP Plan).
Upfront cost is $108 with $58 claimed back from Medicare.
$50 out-of-pocket cost a session.
Clients are eligible for one GP Plan with us every 12 months.

Assessment report
A thorough assessment of your child’s communication skills, including standardised tools, a one-on-one session, detailed analysis, and personalised goal setting.

Includes: Assessment materials, 1 x 50 minute telehealth assessment session, analysis of results, goal setting, and planning of therapy targets.
Detailed reports for NDIS, paediatricians, and schools, outlining assessment findings, therapy recommendations, and goal progress.
Includes: Summary of assessment findings, therapy recommendations, goal progress, and relevant insights and strategies for families, NDIS, other healthcare supports, and schools.

Therapy session
Ideal for children working on multiple goals or those ready for longer sessions. These sessions provide focused therapy, deeper skill development, and greater opportunities for parent coaching to support progress at home.
Includes: 50 minutes direct telehealth time, 15 minutes indirect time.

Parent coaching
Empowering parents with practical strategies to support their child’s communication and development. My coaching sessions provide personalised guidance, evidence-based techniques, and a safe space to navigate challenges with confidence. Book a session to gain tools that make a real difference.

Private Health
Invoices for The Affirm Group services may be claimed for rebate from your private health fund. Contact your fund to see if your level of cover entitles you to a rebate for speech pathology services.
Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plans
The Affirm Group provides services under 'Chronic Disease Management’ (CDM) Medicare items, as part of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS).
Eligibility for this plan is determined by General Practitioners (GPs/your doctor) and is based on a child’s need level. If eligible, a partial refund on up to 5 services per calendar year is available.
Please note, this rebate does not cover the full cost of sessions and The Affirm Group sessions must be paid in full prior to accessing the rebate.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
The Affirm Group is not a registered provider under the NDIS, so we are unable to service clients who are agency-managed. We accept clients who are self or plan-managed. Please email in advance, or bring along to your first session your or your child’s NDIS reference number, plan dates and plan goals to ensure we provide supports that meet NDIS requirements.
