Cancellation policy

The Affirm Group understands that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes appointments may need to be cancelled or rescheduled occasionally.

However, it’s important to understand that unplanned or regular cancellations affect clients, therapists, our wait list & how we can continue to offer supportive, sustainable services as a small business.

We ask that you please give notice of cancellation with 2 business days (Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm) to avoid cancellation fees. The more notice, the better.

  • If you cancel with 2 business days notice, no appointment fee is payable, unless you would like like us to offer you alternatives.

  • If you cancel within 2 business days of your appointment start time, half (50 per cent) of the total appointment fee is payable. 

  • If you cancel within the 24 hours of your appointment start time, the full (100 per cent) appointment fee is payable.

  • If you fail to show for your appointment for any reason, the full (100 per cent) appointment fee is payable.

If you’re unable to attend a session and give 2 or more business days notice, The Affirm Group offers a range of alternatives, including recorded sessions, parent training, homework packs, letters or reports, and communication with key supports such as your doctor (GP, Paediatrician, or other Specialist), school/daycare, or other therapists/supports.
